Terms of Service

Webmailex, operated by Waesta Enterprises U Ltd

Effective date: 29 September 2026

These terms cover your use of Webmailex, a branded webmail access service operated by Waesta Enterprises U Ltd ("we", "us"). By signing in, you agree to them. If you're signing in on behalf of an organisation, you're confirming you're authorised to do so.

What the service is

Webmailex gives you one simple, secure page to sign in to an email mailbox that already exists on your organisation's own mail server. We do not create, own, or independently host your mailbox - we connect you to it. Your organisation's hosting provider remains responsible for your mail server itself.

Who can use it

Access is limited to email addresses on domains that have been explicitly registered with Webmailex by an administrator. There is no open sign-up: if your domain has not been added, you cannot sign in, regardless of whether your mailbox exists elsewhere.

Your responsibilities

Availability

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The service depends on your organisation's own mail server being reachable, which is outside our control. We may suspend access for maintenance, security, or non-payment of hosting fees by your organisation.

Administrator access

Organisations that use Webmailex have one or more administrators who can add or remove domains, configure branding, and view a security log of administrative actions. Administrators are responsible for keeping their own admin credentials secure.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by Ugandan law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for the content, security, or availability of your underlying mail server, which is provided by your own hosting provider.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Waesta Enterprises U Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss (including lost email, lost business, or lost data) arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Ugandan law.

Third-party software

Webmailex is built on Roundcube Webmail, licensed under the GNU General Public License v3. This does not change your rights or obligations as a user of the service, but the underlying software's licence terms remain available from the Roundcube project.

Ending access

We may remove a domain (and therefore access for everyone on it) at the request of the organisation that owns it, or if we reasonably believe the service is being misused. You may stop using the service at any time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda.
